MMTA New York Dinner will be returning to the Cornell Club in central Manhattan this January.
As we enter the year in the midst of a complex and challenging nexus of domestic and international relations, the Minor Metal Trade Association’s North America Committee is delighted to bring our unique macroeconomic and geopolitical perspectives – with an eye on metals of course – back to New York City’s famed Cornell Club on Thursday evening, January 30th 2025.
The MMTA’s North America Committee is delight to announced Brendan Kelly as our 2025 NY Dinner Speaker. Until July, Brendan served as Director for China Economics at the National Security Council, where he was responsible for coordinating U.S. government economic, technology, and engagement policy towards China. Brendan’s previous Defense Department posts include China Country Director in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He has also served as Treasure Department Attache in Beijing, and Acting Head of International Relations and Country Risk at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He will be returning to the Federal Reserve in 2025, and we are fortunate to have the benefit of his insights at this crucial transition.
Please note that Brendan’s speech and the Q & A are strictly conducted under the Chatham House Rule, and while content may be shared afterwards, nothing said during the event may be repeated for attribution outside those in attendance. Thank you for honoring this principle to enable a free and more edifying discussion.
Event Schedule:
- 5.00pm – Networking drinks and canapes
- 7pm – Seated for Dinner and Welcome given by MMTA Director and North American Chair, Noah Lehrman
