(exact date TBC)\n \nThe rare earth industry in South Korea plays a strategic but relatively limited role in the global supply chain\, as the country lacks significant domestic reserves of these critical minerals. \nInstead\, South Korea focuses on refining\, processing\, and manufacturing high-value products—such as semiconductors\, batteries\, and electric vehicle components—that depend on rare earth elements. \nTo reduce its heavy reliance on imports\, particularly from China\, the government has invested in supply diversification\, recycling technologies\, and overseas resource partnerships.
