Supplier Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of Indium Corporation’s supplier base as well as compliance with quality standards identified and risk mitigation. This position will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and our suppliers. The role will ensure the quality levels of all Indium Corporations suppliers and products meet customer requirements while supporting the growth, vision, and values of Indium Corporation. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES): 

  • Provide quality assurance leadership in management of suppliers 
  • Own the Approved Supplier List and Approved Part List ensuring updated information that meets the most recent standard requirements 
  • Ensure the Approved Part List is updated with new IPNs in the current quality system 
  • Ensure quality procedures align with Indium’s Quality Management System 
  • Evaluate existing suppliers by creating and preparing supplier scorecards, having regular reviews with suppliers, alerting the Supply Chain organization of any non-compliance, while developing corrective action plans and reporting findings to impacted organizations 
  • Lead efforts for quick responses and problem resolution for major supplier issues impacting customer quality and/or operational disruption via Material Review Board process. Issue supplier corrective actions, when required, and monitor until proper action plan is implemented by supplier 
  • Lead customer and 3rd party audits as it relates to Supply Chain 
  • Lead new supplier onboarding with Supply Chain team. Lead risk assessment, survey, ISO status, and supplier audits as well as Change Management with customers as required 
  • Update and maintain the Sourcing Order of Priority Ranking 
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments of key supplier relationships and agreements as assigned 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a science-based discipline required 
  • Minimum 3 years in a supply chain role supporting or leading supplier quality required 
  • Obtain and/or maintain International Automotive Task Force (IATF) auditor certification within first 3 months of employment 
  • Able to work independently or lead a team, as needed to meet goals 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of quality standards 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
