Special Metals Corporation is the world’s leading innovator and manufacturer of nickel-based superalloys. With over 100 years of history and experience in the nickel industry, we have the processes and knowhow which allow us to offer the industry’s widest range of nickel alloy products. Our product portfolio contains over 100 alloy compositions, over 85% of which were developed in our own laboratories.

At our site in Hereford, England, we have all the processes required to manufacture from melt to final product under one roof. We supply nickel alloy products in the following forms: seamless tube/ pipe, bar, sheet, plate, forgings, ingots, extruded section and more.

All of our operations comply with quality standards audited and certified to ISO9001, ISO/TS16949 for automotive products and EN9100 for aerospace. Our testing laboratory, known under the name IncoTest, is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap.

In 2006, Special Metals Corporation became a part of Precision Castparts Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of complex metal components and products. More recently, at the start of 2016, Precision Castparts Corporation has been acquired by Berkshire Hathaway.
