The China Strategic Minor Metals Forum was hosted by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and co-organized by Zhuzhou Keneng New Material Co., Ltd., The Minor Metals Trade Association(UK), Vital Materials Co., Limited, Yunxi Wenshan Zinc Indium Smelting Co., LTD., Hunan New Indium Non-ferrous Metal Co., LTD., Liyang Zhonglianjin E-Commerce Co., Ltd., and other,. It was held on 9 November 2022 in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China.
This forum is the 7th minor metals event co-organized by China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association and The Minor Metals Trade Association since 2016.

Hu Deyong, Deputy Secretary-General of China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. The keynote report session was presided over by Peng Tao, Director of the Rare Earth Metals Consultation and Coordination Department of China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, Feng Juncong, Chief expert of Beijing Antaike Information Co., LTD., and Liu Mai, Secretary General of Minor Metals Branch of China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association.
The report covered the development and applications of several minor metals.
At the forum, the experts discussed the current dynamics and driving forces of the indium market in China, comprehensive recovery and utilisation of germanium in zinc smelting process, development opportunities and challenges of third-generation semiconductor materials, infrared materials and applications, development of selenium-rich applications, technology development and application of high purity tellurium, and exploration of green and low-carbon pathways in non-ferrous metal industry.
In 2023, China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association will continue to cooperate with The Minor Metals Trade Association in events including the 8th forum on minor metals.
