MMTA member TuocaiTech has started the new year with a great news that, their 6N+ gallium (Ga) has been officially qualified by a premier gallium arsenide (GaAs) wafer producer outside China, amid the new export regulations. This followed the recent overseas qualification for primary temperature standards of its 7N5+ gallium and tin, used in various national metrology institutes around the world.
This only shows that our metals are so pure that their freezing points are so close to their theoretical freezing temperatures,” Dan Manaig, TuocaiTech’s director of global sales and strategy explained.
“And now, we are very excited that more and more industry leaders in the compound semiconductor space (from CdTe to GaAs) are recognising the quality of our products.” Semiconductor-grade gallium also enables silicon- and Ga-based photovoltaics and optoelectronics thin films.
