Joel Nields, Exotech inc
Joel joined Exotech Inc in 2015 following a period of 12 years within the minor metals industry. As Director of Purchasing and Sales, Joel has managed a broad portfolio of minor metals including tantalum, niobium, hafnium, zirconium, molybdenum, tungsten, titanium, and vanadium scrap. Joel’s role includes strategy and planning, price discovery and guidance, as well as new business development.
Exotech Inc has been closely involved with the work of the MMTA since becoming a member and has been represented on the MMTA Board since 2012.
Joel has been a member of the Metal Norms Working Group, as well as contributing to the Crucible with an article on creativity in the melt place. He is also actively involved with the T.I.C, of which Exotech is also a member.
Joel has a BA in Anthropology.
Donna Vareha-Walsh, Indium Corporation
Donna Vareha-Walsh is director of Indium Corporation’s metals business unit. She is responsible for sourcing and sales of critical raw materials such as indium, gallium, germanium, tin and silver for Indium Corporation’s manufacturing operations, as well as the trading and reclaim business. Donna is based at Indium Corporation’s headquarters in Clinton, NY.
Donna has over 15 years of metals market experience, including Director of Global Procurement for a global premium alloy company and Director of Metallurgical Operations and Procurement for a global tungsten based business. Additional experience includes responsibilities as a Business Unit Controller, Director of Sales and a New Business Development Manager, and participation in the metals recycling and scrap/reclaim markets.
Donna has a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
