1st Critical Metals & Minerals Conference

The UK’s Critical Minerals Association, in partnership with Metal Events, is holding its first Critical Metals and Materials Conference in London on 22-23 March 2023. In 2022, the UK launched its first Critical Minerals Strategy, while the US developed an Industrial Strategy and the EU has announced its European Critical Raw Material Act. Canada and Australia followed suit. Russia’s war in Ukraine has focused minds on supply chain security for critical raw materials, while deadlines to meet zero net targets that rely on them are fast approaching.

Are we achieving our net zero targets? Are we close to achieving security of supply?

This two-day event will look at a range of policy areas and metals to explore the issues of how to ensure security of supply. It will address the impact of geopolitical concerns on defence and energy and what they mean for rare earths and energy transition metals.
