MMTA member RC Inspection, based in the Netherlands, has received a major tender in Mongolia, accelerating its global expansion strategy.
Its subsidiary RC Inspection Asia Assays carries out assaying on a number of deposits in the coal basin on the central economic region of Mongolia , the latest of which is Shivee-Ovoo deposit containing 2.7 bn tonnes of proven reserves.
The company has four branches in Mongolia: Testing Laboratory and Technical Inspection Office in Ulaanbaatar and Erdenet cities, and The Onsite Laboratory at Rio Tinto’s Oyu Tolgoi Copper and Gold Mine in the Gobi desert.
The Oyu Tolgoi Onsite laboratory processes hundreds of samples per day working in 24/7 in three shifts.
