AMG Chrome US LLC, an AMG Chrome facility in New Castle, Pennsylvania, US, has increased its chrome metal production capabilities with the help of investment from AMG.
AMG Chrome US LLC is now fully equipped for second step vacuum degassing of chromium metal with powder blending, briquette pressing and multiple vacuum degassing lines (furnaces are also equipped with special atmosphere capability for ultra low sulfur production). The facility has its own test house but is also backed up by the AMG Chrome test house in the UK.
The product range will include all grades of high purity degassed chromium:
- High Purity Degassed Cr Standard Grade
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Nitrogen (15ppm N)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Sulfur (10ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Ultra Low Sulfur (5ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Vanadium
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Fe
