The Minor Metals Trade Association is sorry to inform our members of the recent passing of Peter Dugdale, founder and managing director of MMTA member Veritek Global Solutions Nigeria Ltd.
Born in 1957, Peter L. Dugdale had a long and successful career in the inspection and management of crude and petroleum products, metals, minerals, and agricultural commodities.
Peter held a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marine Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Management. He began his career at Birchwood Marine International Ltd, where he built a strong foundation in marine engineering and commercial operations.
In his further role as Commercial Manager, Q & Q Control Services, Congo, Peter was responsible for overseeing quality and quantity control services, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of inspections.
As a manager at Q & Q Services in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, he further honed his skills in the inspection of petroleum products and commodities, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of operations. Later, as the Country Manager for Saybolt, a division of Core Laboratories, Peter was responsible for the overall operations in Nigeria.
He went on to serve as General Manager of Sahara Bulk Storage Facilities where he played a pivotal role in managing large-scale storage operations, demonstrating his ability to handle complex logistics and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
As the Managing Director of AMG Terminals, Peter was instrumental in leading terminal operations, focusing on optimizing performance and ensuring seamless handling of bulk commodities.
In 2013, Peter became a founding partner of Veritek Global Solutions., a private British company based in Lagos, Nigeria, that offered inspection, sampling and assaying services in the most economically active zones of West Africa. Peter led the company’s efforts in providing innovative solutions for inspection and certification of goods, building the company’s reputation for reliability and excellence.
Outside of his professional achievements, Peter was known for his commitment to continuous learning and development. His values of integrity, excellence, and leadership, had been the guiding principles throughout his career.
Peter’s dedication to his work and his ability to navigate and lead in complex industries made him a respected figure in his field. He inspired many on his professional journey and through his contributions to the industry.
He believed in the power of perseverance, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence. His career was a testament to his commitment to these values, as he had consistently demonstrated his ability to lead with distinction and made a significant impact in his field.
Peter was happily married with two children.
Following Peter’s passing, Veritek Global Solutions has announced the appointment of Mrs. France Zambali Dugdale as the company’s new Managing Director.
“Mrs. France Zambali Dugdale brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization, having worked within the industry with a proven track record of success. She is well equipped to lead Veritek into a new phase of growth and development,” the company said.
Under France Zambali Dugdale leadership, Veritek Global Solutions remains a committed and valuable member of the Minor Metals Trade Association.
