The Minor Metals Trade Association’s Annual General Meeting is taking place on Thursday 18th April ahead of the first conference session. The following MMTA members are standing for election to the board:
Chris Brzozowski, ICD Europe Ltd
Standing for election as Treasurer

Chris Brzozowski, ICD Europe
Chris has over ten years of experience in the minor metal and superalloy recycling sectors.
As Commercial Director for ICD Europe Ltd., Chris has been instrumental in establishing ICD as a leading supplier of Hafnium, Tantalum, Molybdenum, Niobium, Rhenium, Tungsten, Zirconium and various other minor metal products within the UK, European and Asian markets.
Within his current role, he has developed ICD’s ESG strategy, and is heavily involved in compliance related topics such as UK/EU REACH and RMI. He has promoted ICD with several external accreditation and awards bodies, notably the Queen’s Awards for International Trade, which ICD was a proud recipient of in 2022. Chris has played a key role in setting up ICD’s new business venture, ICD Superalloys Australia Pty Ltd.
Chris holds a BSc in Mathematics-Economics from the University of Leeds, and graduated with an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Sheffield in 2022. He has sat on the MMTA Board since 2023.
Noah Lehrman, Hudson Metal & Alloy LLC

Noah Munro Lehrman, Senior Vice President of Hudson Metal & Alloy LLC, is second generation in the international metals industry. Chair of the Association’s North America Committee, Noah views his work with the MMTA on trade and critical minerals policy as an opportunity to support an industry which stands as a key driver of positive global development.
In addition to his work with Hudson supplying raw materials to the superalloy, energy, and semiconductor industries, Noah’s scholarship on the metaphysics of music and community has been published by Penn State University (2023) and Oregon State University (2024). A magna cum laude alum of Brown University, Noah regularly speaks at international trade and academic conferences on topics ranging from aerospace to ethics.
Melvin Hill, GE Chaplin Inc

Melvin Hill, GE CHaplin
Melvin Hill is Vice President- Rare Earths, GE Chaplin. Melvin joined GE Chaplin in 2015 to help expand and manage its growing rare earth business. Melvin is a graduate of Wake Forest University, where he doubled majored in Economics and Mandarin. He completed a year of post-graduate study at the Harbin Institute of Technology, where he focused on Mandarin language studies and applied natural resource economics.
Melvin’s background in the rare earth sector includes three years in research and analysis at Asian Metal as well as 10 years in global sales and procurement.

Possesses extensive expertise in smelting and trading, managing a diverse portfolio of products and blue-chip clients. Proven track record of consistently hitting targets and implementing effective financial planning strategies.
Highly experienced in minor metal trading, contributing to Avon’s profitability and market growth. Board member of the British Metals Recycling Association and previously served on the Bureau of International Recycling’s Young Traders Board. Instrumental in securing major contracts for Avon Metals, leveraging comprehensive industry knowledge and fostering strong customer relations.
Bill Sharkey, Environmetals LLC

Bill Sharkey, Environmetals LLC
Bill is the owner of Environmetals LLC a specialty metal manufacturer, processor and trader and RW Sharkey LLC, an Environmental Health and Safety Service Company catering to the nuclear industry.
Since 2011 Bill has grown the specialty metal business from the ground up. Environmetals is an international business doing business in 23 countries, specialising in zirconium and hafnium products. In 2003 Bill started RW Sharkey LLC and provides Environmental Health and Safety and management support to the nuclear industry. Customers include Westinghouse, General Electric and Framatome.
Bill has lead numerous environmental and nuclear remediation and decommissioning projects and has extensive experience with environmental and safety regulation. Prior to starting RW Sharkey LLC, Bill was the General Manager of Cabrera Services an Environmental services business and the Director of Regulatory Affairs for ABB/Westinghouse nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities in CT and MO. In theses positions, Bill was responsible for environmental protection, safety, radiation and nuclear safety as well as the quality laboratories. Projects included significant interaction with US Congress, EPA, NRC and state regulatory agencies. Bill served 5 years on active duty in the USAF and another 6 years in the Air National Guard rising to the rank of Staff Sargent. Bill has a BS and MS in Radiological Health Physics from University of Lowell and was an NRC licensed nuclear reactor operator.
