As we reported in the May Crucible, MMTA members ICD Europe and Advanced Alloy Services became proud recipients of the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Now in their 58th year, and previously known as The Queen’s Awards these awards for Enterprise were this year renamed King’s Awards to reflect His Majesty’s desire to continue the legacy of the late HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses, In this issue we are pleased to report on two other MMTA Members who were among the 252 British companies to receive the UK’s top business award in 2024.
Wogen Resources awarded for International Trade
Veteran MMTA member Wogen Resources, headquartered in Westminster, London received the King’s Award for Enter-prise for International Trade, for outstanding growth in the company’s international sales.
This is the third royal accolade received by companies within the Wogen Group in its more than 50-year history of trading, selling, marketing and distributing specialist commodities, with a wide range of minor metals and ores, around the world.
Wogen said that the 2024 award reflects on its continued drive for excellence and the close collaboration of its team in servicing is international customers.
We have had a good run over the last few years, during what was quite a difficult and unusual time; with Covid, supply disruptions and the outbreak of war on the European continent,” said Wogen’s chairman Alex Williams.
“As always, we focused on good business, providing professional and friend-ly service to our customers and suppliers, and on doing good by our employees. We are an employee owned company with a 52 year history, and previously received Queen’s Awards in 1990 and 2006. “We are also pleased to note that a number of our British suppliers, customers and service providers are also on this year’s list of King’s Award winners – namely Alfred H Knight, LevertonHELM, and Benchmark Mineral Intelligence.”
Alfred H Knight honoured for its Innovation
Alfred H Knight ,
experts in global inspection, assaying and materials analysis has been recoginsed for its excellence in Innovation.
Its King’s Award for Enterprise comes following a global collaboration between multiple teams across the business, in which AHK was able to digitise complex inspection services in support of the African met-als and minerals sector.
