Bluestone Metals & Chemicals joins the MMTA
Bluestone Metals & Chemicals, part of the SMR – Specialty Metals Resources Group, has joined the MMTA. Established in 2014, Bluestone is a global expert in the production and distribution of specialty chemicals built for select markets.
With a range of high-performance products that include antimony, cadmium, cobalt, nickel, copper, molybdenum, selenium, iodine, tungsten, and others, it is able to provide made-to-fit solutions for companies focused on glass, ceramics and pigments, plating, paint driers, water treatment, agriculture, animal feed, catalysis, powder metallurgy, and general chemical applications. Committed to ethical sourcing, and with logistics and warehousing hubs in North America, Europe, India, China, Mexico and South Africa, Bluestone can serve clients in all parts of the world.
Retorte is now an MMTA member
Retorte GmbH, an Aurubis Group company, a producer specialising in high quality selenium metal, powders and salts joined the MMTA in late 2023.
For more than 75 years, RETORTE has been processing the raw material selenium at its site in Röthenbach a. d. Pegnitz, in Germany. Depending on the area of application and the customer, it ensures the required level of quality without fluctuations and the appropriate processing, in compliance with the highest environmental standards. As a leading producer it provides its selenium products to customers from all over the world.
MMTA welcomes Minterra
Minterra, a trading company based in the United Arab Emirates, became the newest member when it joined the MMTA in February. Minterra are global traders of critical minerals and metals, working with a wide range of industrial metal ores and metal alloys, From sourcing raw materials to delivering processed commodities, it works closely with its partners to carefully monitor and manage every step in its supply chain. Its portfolio of metals includes beryllium, chromium, lithium, neodymium, niobium, tantalum and tungsten, as well as base metals, and it is always on the look out for new market opportunities.
Ametals returns to the MMTA
Trading company Ametals, run by Alexandre Gerard and based at Court St Etienne near Brussels in Belgium re-joined the MMTA in late 2023 and continues as a member this year.
The company’s main activity is centred on the trading and distribution of ferroalloys and non-ferrous metals.
